Rare Genetic Diseases Research Summit (REDRESS) – 2026

Rare Genetic Diseases Research Summit is a national platform dedicated to advancing diagnostic, therapeutic and translational research through innovation, and collaboration in the field of Rare Genetic Diseases (RGDs). Bringing together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, industry leaders, patient advocacy groups, and innovators from across India, REDRESS continues its mission of strengthening the country’s rare disease ecosystem through meaningful dialogue and interdisciplinary partnerships.

Organised by the Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS) in collaboration with the Organization for Rare Diseases India (ORDI), REDRESS has over the past four editions, evolved into one of India’s leading forums for discussions on rare disease diagnostics, therapeutics, genomics, policy, and patient care. The continued growth of the summit is reflected in the 5th edition, which brings together four additional Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs), Christian Medical College, Vellore and the Board of Genetic Counseling India as Knowledge Partners this year. This is a testament to the expanding reach, credibility, and commitment of REDRESS to foster meaningful collaborations across academia, healthcare, government, industry, and communities to contribute towards a more integrated approach addressing the challenges of rare genetic diseases in India.

REDRESS 2026 will continue this momentum by highlighting recent scientific advances, emerging technologies, and translational research that are transforming the rare disease landscape. The summit will provide a unique opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, showcase cutting-edge research, discuss policy priorities, and explore collaborative solutions that can accelerate diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care for individuals living with rare genetic diseases.
