🧬 Two days of insightful discussions, scientific exchange and meaningful connections!
The Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (PreCID 2026) conference, organised on 6–7 October 2026, brought together multiple stakeholders to explore the challenges and opportunities in addressing insect vectors across plant, veterinary and human health.
Across four key themes, the conference fostered interdisciplinary dialogue and explored diverse perspectives:
🔹 Vector Watch: Surveillance, Mapping & Early Warning
🔹 Decoding Transmission: Vector–Pathogen Biology & Diagnostics
🔹 Vector Control Approaches in India: Biology, Innovation & Management
🔹 From Science to Society: Awareness, Policy & Public Health Impact
A heartfelt thank you to our Knowledge Partners, ICMR-National Institute of Malaria Research, ICMR-National Institute for Vector Control Research, ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology & Disease Informatics, ICAR-National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources, and National Centre for Biological Sciences for their valuable support in bringing this national platform together.
Our sincere appreciation to all the speakers, panelists and session chairs for sharing their expertise and perspectives; the poster presenters and participating students for bringing fresh ideas and research to the forefront; and all delegates for their enthusiastic participation.
PreCID 2026 has reinforced the importance of collaborative, cross-sector approaches to vector research and management, towards healthier people, animals and plants.
