Rolling Positions

TIGS, founded in 2017, is a non-profit research institute that aspires to develop solutions to challenges in human health and agriculture. TIGS is a unique initiative to support applications of cutting-edge science and technology in genetics and genomics to solve societal problems of the country. The most significant challenges that impede the achievement of health equity and nutrition security for all of India’s population require systematic evidence-based scientific advancements and technological solutions. Research programs at TIGS are focused on three broad areas: Infectious Diseases, Rare Genetic Disorders, and Crop Improvement.

TIGS is a program driven research institute with a focus on solving pressing societal challenges. We are looking for scientists at different levels for research programs and technology platforms at TIGS. Required Qualifications:

– PhD in the related discipline
– Post-doctoral experience in relevant field
– Proven record of research (publications)
– Highly motivated, committed, and able to take initiatives

Salary: Competitive

Duration: Regularization after successful completion of probation period of at least one year.

TIGS offers training programs to students pursuing or having completed degrees in the natural sciences with good academic performance.

Program Duration Who Can Apply Application Process

Dissertation Research Training

The dissertation research training program at TIGS is offered to students who are required to do a research project towards the completion of their degree.

6-12 months Students pursuing BSc (final year), BTech, MSc, or Integrated Msc degrees Stay tuned for updates on Dissertation Research Training applications.

Project-Based Training

Students interested in gaining hands-on experience in new research technologies are invited to apply.

6-12 months Students who have completed BTech, MSc, or Integrated MSc degrees We have received an overwhelming number of applications for the project-based training program. Applications have been closed until further notice.

Summer Training

(Held during the months May-August)

2 months Students pursuing BSc, BTech, MSc, or Integrated MSc courses Stay tuned for updates on Summer Training applications.
