The Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS), in collaboration with National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) is organising a five-day intensive Hands-on Workshop on CRISPR-Based Genome Editing, to be held at BLiSC campus. This specialized training program is designed to equip participants with practical skills and contemporary knowledge in genome editing across cell, plant, and insect systems.
CRISPR technology has transformed biological research and biotechnology by enabling precise, efficient, and cost-effective genetic modifications. This workshop offers a unique opportunity for researchers to gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art genome editing tools, experimental workflows, and analytical approaches under the guidance of experienced Scientists.
The workshop is open to PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, early-career faculty members, and industry professionals seeking advanced training in genome editing technologies. To ensure a highly interactive learning environment, participation will be limited to 25 selected candidates, distributed across cell editing (5 slots), plant editing (10 slots), and insect editing (10 slots).
Selection will be based on the applicant’s research profile and the relevance of their work to the workshop themes. Interested participants are encouraged to apply early, as the number of seats are limited.
