Rare Disease Day 2025

✨On 28th February i.e. Rare Disease Day 2025 , TIGS and NCBS came together to raise awareness and foster discussions on rare diseases.

The event started off with an insightful live art competition, where the participants expressed their creativity on the canvas on the theme ‘What is rare?’. Dr. Runa Hamid from TIGS and Dr. Deepti Trivedi from NCBS gave brief talks as researchers and shared nuances about rare diseases.

A special thanks to Keya Hatkar, an young author and a disability advocate for a thought provoking session on the need for inclusivity and awareness on rare diseases. Followed by this a musical dance drama skit on challenges with neuro muscular disorders was presented by campus students!

Through insightful conversations and shared commitment, we reaffirm our dedication to advancing research and care for rare genetic diseases.

Let’s make Rare visible! ✨
