A significant milestone in the journey of the Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS) as we renew our MoU with BRIC-inStem, reaffirming our shared commitment to taking cutting-edge science from the laboratory to solutions for society through this TIGS Centre@inStem.
The MoU was signed with Prof. Manisha Inamdar, Director, BRIC-inStem, under the aegis of Dr. Rajesh Gokhale, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology (DBT) & Director General of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC). DBT’s continued support and encouragement has been instrumental in enabling TIGS to pursue ambitious science, foster collaborations and translate research into meaningful societal impact.
This partnership is especially meaningful in the context of the vision of Mr. Ratan Tata and Tata Trusts, who envisioned TIGS as a unique institution that would harness the power of genetics and genomics to address challenges faced by the people of India, in human health and agriculture.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to building strong scientific partnerships and ensuring that cutting-edge science finds its way from discovery to impact.
