Indian Academy of Sciences launch symposium for the release of a special issue on the ‘Rare Genetic Diseases Landscape in India’

Recently the Journal of Biosciences, Indian Academy of Sciences held a launch symposium for the release of a special issue on the ‘𝗥𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮’ edited by Prof. Alok Bhattacharya, Prof. Sudha Bhattacharya and Dr. Rakesh Mishra

We are thankful for Renee Borges, IISc in getting this special issue out. This serves as an important step for the Indian Rare Disease patient and research community.

The keynote lecture was delivered by Prof. Y.K. Gupta, on the Challenges and strategies for Rare Disease Drug Development at the launch symposium.

Dr. Vinod K Paul, Member, NITI Aayog has written the foreword for the special issue.
