Racefor7 is an annual event organised by the Organization for Rare Diseases India (ORDI) to create awareness on rare diseases and to address the challenges of rare disease patients and their families.
There are than 7000 rare diseases out of which only 450 are documented in India and about 90 million people are affected with rare diseases.
Racefor7 symbolically represents the 7000 rare diseases with 7000 people running for 7 kilometres.
This years Racefor7 event at Bengaluru started from the St. Josephs college ground. Staff from TIGS attended the event and contributed to ensure that the voice of rare disease patients and families is heard to the larger community.
