In the face of climate change, research on plant disease diagnostics, AMR surveillance, insect pesticides and vector borne diseases need to be prioritized. Towards this end, TIGS and CSIR – North East Institute Of Science And Technology (NEIST) signed an MoU to address some of these challenges and develop viable solutions.
Apart from this, there are projects planned to work on rare genetic disorders which affect several millions of people every year, mostly children. We plan to develop strategies to deploy efficient screening and genetic counselling measures to avoid child birth with genetic defects, especially in the north eastern region India. 🤝 📝
