Dr. Vasanth Thamodaran was recently award a DBT – BIRAC grant to work on Generating iPSCs based disease models using gene editing to investigate lysosomal storage disorders, with focus on Gaucher disease and Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS).
The project will focus on two prevalent LSDs in India, Gaucher and Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS). The iPSC model generated for these disorders will be utilised for developing therapeutic interventions.
