Insects play a vital role in agriculture and for our well-being. They are essential pollinators for crops, aiding in the production of several important products which constitute our consumption habits. But insects can also pose challenges as pests that damage crops.
Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS) is excited to join hands with ICAR – National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources (ICAR – NBAIR) to harness the power of genetics and molecular biology to develop sustainable and eco friendly methods for controlling insect pests in agriculture.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Rakesh Mishra, Director TIGS and Dr. S N Sushil, Director, ICAR – NBAIR and other senior scientists from both institutes.
